Descriptive Essay

Waterfall Coachalotes

This place is my favorite in my hometown because I could make different physical activities. To arrive there, you need to walk around 3 kilometers from the road, because it is located in the center of a big and hidden grove. When you started strutting, you will feel like if you traveled into other different places to my town because the road changes as you walk. First, it is very dry, only stones and little thorny trees, then walking some kilometers more it turns very rocky, without plants, but walking a little bit more, you can find a marvelous place huge of trees and plants in the middle of rocks and water running through those rocks.

While you walk you discover more and more different landscapes. When you finally arrive, you have to get into a humid and tight cave, which you need to cross in order to go down to get to the place where the water falls. To arrive there you have to cross three different places, this is the first. When you go down from the cave you will find a lot of big brown rocks, which are stained by the water because over there runs the water when it rains. When there is water you can slide over the big rocks and have a lot of fun. Some people just arrive there and stay to eat and have fun, because the next stage is more difficult to arrive and there is more rocky and mountainous so it is not easy for everybody climb under the rocks.

The second part of this great place is to travel up to waterfall. In this travel you will climb on big rocks which are sometimes humid and wet. During this stroll, you must be very careful to do not fall down, because it is very dangerous. You can also arrive to the same place taking another place, in which you must also climb, but instead of rocks you will go on a racing road in the middle of trees and unattached ground, which can be more dangerous.

In the next stage you will be in a high place and you will be able to see the not big but huge waterfall falling from the middle of two big brown rocks forming columns from a big natural wall. In this place, where the water is accumulated you can feel the warm and clean water by swimming (if you know how to do it) or touching it. In the moment that you are there, you can feel very relaxed because the place has a quiet mood and you can hear the sing of the different birds, and the sound of the water falling.

As final problem is how to return. You have two options: to climb up to the big wall of rocks where the water falls from, or return for the rocks from you arrive first. As personal opinion and what I like the most, is to climb the waterfall, although it is the most dangerous part in this travel. I have done it four times; because it is very important go there with people who know the right place to climb. In this place you can find a lot of places to do different activities, as slide on rocks, climb rocks, and swim. I really love this place and meanly when I go with my closer friends to have a good time there.

Electronical Tools

Electronical tools: advantages and disadvantages.

Electronical tools have influenced in many ways, it depends on the use that students make of them. As an example of electronical tools are the computer and internet. They can be used to make the learning process easier to research information and edit it in order to accomplish homework or scholar projects. However as everything in the world, excess use could affect in a negative way the learning process.

The main purpose of the use of e-tools is to make easier the learning process in students by using internet and computer. With the computer students can write and edit their notes or scholar projects, without spending a lot of paper in their notebooks or rewrite everything again in case of corrections, in the same file instead of rewrite it in paper. However in the process of learning by using the computer we can find a lot of difficulties. As main difficulty is to learn to use the computer, because it is complex equipment which has different tools that make you get confused with their usage.

Even though the computer has been invented to make learning process easier; of course it has some disadvantages. Some of the disadvantages are the use of it in excess and the consequences that it could carry on. When students use the computer with the purpose of do some homework, they spend more time on the web than doing the homework, mainly because of the distractions as on line games, chatting rooms, or blogs. And spending a lot of time in front of the computer could damage their eyes.

On the other hand, internet and computer have helped to make easier the educational research. Internet has some good one, it has made easier the research, in order to find more sources and increase the knowledge and analyze some different points of view to compare and take the most appropriate according with their own purposes. Something bad in the e-research is that the most of the time, in the web we can find some repeated information and other times wrong information or undesired one.

To conclude, the computer and internet have been a very good invention to make easier the learning process. However, the bad use of these tools could affect students’ life and health. It depends of how much they use it to entertainment or to spend time with friends or being in the web.

Introductory Essay (Final Draft)

The purpose of the essay is that you know something else about me and my life. In this essay I will describe some details about myself. Some of these are about my name and my origins. I will also include information about my likes and dislikes also and some of the future goals that I hope to achieve in 5 to 10 years from now.

First of all, I need to tell you my name and the origin of it. I am Ursula Yolanda Palos Ramírez, I am named Ursula after my mother’s grandmother and Yolanda because of my mom’s name. I am from a little town called San Diego de Alejandría, Jalisco, which is near Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco. Nowadays, I am studying the B.A. in English Language Teaching in Aguascalientes; where I live with my aunt, my cousin and one of my brothers. I prefer to live in my town because it is a quiet place and I can go to everywhere walking, for that reason I like to walk and on my free time I usually play basketball, and spend time with my friends.

Many things have changed my life, most of them for the better. I think the most important thing was when I decided to get in this major. Indirectly I decided to leave my hometown, friends and family; although I go to my hometown every weekend it is not the same as living there because I do not spend enough time with my family or my friends so I have had to decide with whom stay more time. On the other hand, living in Aguascalientes has been difficult and enjoyable at the same time. Actually I have been trying to adapt myself to living in here. Something that I have done to enjoy being here is to go out with my classmates or family to some places to have fun and know more places with the purpose of being able to go around Aguascalientes on my own one day.

Talking about the things that I want to do in the future, I have many objectives. One of them is to get my own house and obviously live there after I finished my Master’s Degree, which I hope to do in a foreign country. By then, I will have finished my B.A in Aguascalientes and I will have got a job as an English Teacher in some High-School. When I will have achieved my goals I will be prepared to get married if I find the right person with whom to share my life.

I have too many dreams and wishes to achieve and I am aware that some of them could not be achieved, but I will do my best to do so. Some things could not happen when I expected it, but maybe I will do it someday. I hope that all the things I mentioned about me have helped you to know me better.
